I'm a student
I'm finishing up my last month of my undergraduate career at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), working on a double-major in Graphic Design & Media Arts and Mathematics. I love the opportunity to stimulate both sides of my brain at the same time and am lucky enough to find passion in two different feilds. In addition to my courses, I am also a peer mathematics tutor, President of the Math Club, and (most recently) a creator and curator of fractal artwork !
I'm an graphic designer
For the last two years I've been working on the Fedora Engineering Team as an in-house graphic design intern at Red Hat (Linux). Designing in the tech industry is an incredibly different experience than any other academic or freelance work I've done, because I often am challenged to ask questions about the technical products that I am designing visual assets for. My tasks for Red Hat range from creating conference collateral, to infographics, to shirt designs, presentation templates, and more.
I'm a visionary
In a nutshell, the gears are always turning.
Between my courses and my internship I have learned to master a number of different proprietary and open source design programs. I use these products to create various print and digital media, but I also am passionate about helping others explore the world of design. I've had the priviledge to mentor elementary and middle school students in graphic design-related workshops in the last year, and am excited to see what future opportunites will arise for me to continue to share my passion and skillsets with others.
